This class features four focused 8-minute intervals at sweet spot intensity (high Zone 3/low Zone 4), designed to build strength, stamina, and mental resilience. With a dynamic playlist to keep you motivated, precise guidance on power, heart rate, and perceived exertion, and techniques to control your breath and interpret heart rate data, you’ll gain valuable insights into your cycling performance. Visualize your favorite outdoor route, stay engaged with mental strength cues, and learn why this ride is key to developing the endurance every cyclist needs.

During the cool-down of this free session, you’ll hear me introduce the next ride in the series—a pivotal class focused on building mental strength for tackling challenging efforts. In that session, I share powerful tools and techniques to help you stay focused, overcome obstacles, and push through discomfort. These strategies aren’t just for the rest of this virtual program—they’ll become invaluable mind-body assets for all your outdoor cycling adventures. It’s one of the most impactful rides in the program, and you won’t want to miss it!

Not familiar with Zones 3 and 4? No problem! I’ll guide you through that in the RideStrong program. For this ride, think of the intervals as a “moderately hard” effort. You should feel like you’re working, but still in control—challenged but not completely spent by the end of each 8-minute interval. Throughout the ride, I’ll provide perceived exertion cues to help you gauge your effort. Aim to finish the session feeling tired but not drained—save the all-out efforts for later in the program!
