Grammy Nominations 2025: Three Progressive Blocks (Class Profile)

The 67th Annual Grammy Awards will light up Los Angeles’s Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, February 2, 2025, with Trevor Noah (tentatively confirmed) returning as host for the fifth year.

For seven consecutive years, I’ve crafted Grammy-themed cycling profiles for the Indoor Cycling Association. Each playlist celebrates a variety of genres—even those outside my usual rotation. Since musical preferences vary, feel free to explore the ICA Bucket Playlist (with 174 songs) at the end of this post for alternative song choices. (Note: Some tracks may contain explicit lyrics, so please review them for your facility’s guidelines.)

This year’s profile is a progressive ride featuring three intensity-building sets, each followed by recovery. Shifting cadence and effort levels challenge riders to experience Zones 3, 4, and 5 at different tempos, revealing how intensity feels at varying leg speeds.

You may notice a few familiar tracks from our recent Best of 2024 ride—an unavoidable overlap since Grammy nominees often top the best-of lists. Clearly, Fern and I share great taste in music! The profiles are distinct enough to keep things fresh, and the songs are so good no one will mind hearing them again. And, as always, the Grammy 2025 Bucket Playlist is ready for you if you’d like to make any swaps.

I want to highlight two personal favorites from this year’s Grammy nominations. “Selfish” by Justin Timberlake tops my list of songs of the year. I’ve used it in multiple ways—warm-up, cool-down, recovery, and now in this profile as a moderate flat road. Its chill, laid-back vibe makes it perfect for easing into the working efforts.

Another standout is “Bed on Fire” by Teddy Swims and Ingrid Andress. Here, it serves as a cool-down and stretch track, but its versatility makes it equally fitting as a warm-up or gentle flat road at 80 rpm.

Let’s ride to the rhythm of music’s biggest night!
