This hilly, fun holiday profile will fill your class with cheer. But heads up…it includes five songs that are unavailable on any streaming service. To use these energetic mashup songs, you’ll have to download the MP3s from a website. If that’s not for you, no problem—we have a holiday bucket playlist with almost 300 songs to choose from, including about 50 newer gems.
One of my favorite yearly traditions over the holidays is to teach a Winter Solstice ride using songs from our bucket playlist on the theme of lights. Here is my most recent version of Shari Miranda’s Winter Solstice theme profile…plus Shari’s updated version of her profile as well! We both use some of the same songs, but we do different things to the songs; this way, you can choose which choreography you prefer! Be sure to download both versions.
I created this profile In Honor of Mountains to celebrate International Mountain Day on December 11, but, of course, good climbing profiles with great music can be used any time of the year. Almost all of the songs are based on the theme of mountains and being “on top of the world.” 2023: A NEW ALL-CLIMBING VERSION OF THIS PROFILE HAS BEEN ADDED!
Did you know that December 11 is International Mountain Day? What a joy to know that something we love to simulate in our cycling classes has been given its own day to be honored! It’s a great way to create a theme and promote a special day of climbing to honor mountains. We give you a playlist on the theme of mountains, summit, and top of the world with 160 songs to help you create your own mountain-themed ride. We also have two special profiles on this theme, including a new one called “The Alpine Ascent: Celebrating International Mountain Day.”
As indoor cycling instructors, we understand the profound impact that music can have on our classes. It’s the driving force behind every pedal stroke, helping our riders find motivation, rhythm, and a sense of purpose on their journey. World Techno Day (December 9) is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the genre that has become synonymous with high-energy workouts and futuristic beats—electronic music.
