Quote of the Week: The Value of Persistence

“What do you first do when you learn to swim? You make mistakes, do you not? And what happens? You make other mistakes, and when you have made all the mistakes you possibly can without drowning—and some of them many times over—what do you find? That you can swim? Well—life is just the same as learning to swim! Do not be afraid of making mistakes, for there is no other way of learning how to live!”
Alfred Adler

Quote of the Week: The Value of Persistence

Do you remember when you first learned how to ride a bike? You were so shaky and dependent on your training wheels. Then, one day, the training wheels had to come off the bike, but your mom or dad would stand behind you and hold your seat just enough until one
day…unbeknownst to you…they just let go and you were riding all by yourself! This week allow yourself to recognize the value of persistence in the face of fear and failure. When you are deep in the clutches of the pain cave or just at the brink of failure, remember that if you just keep pedaling, you will find the light at the end of the tunnel and success will be waiting for you on the other side.
