Theme Ride Thursday: 2024 Grammy Nominations—Three Progressive Blocks (Class Profile)

The 66th Annual Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 4, 2024. As they were last year, they will be held in Los Angeles at the Crypto.com Arena, hosted by Trevor Noah.

For the sixth year in a row, I am excited to create a Grammy Awards profile for the Indoor Cycling Association. With such a great selection of music to choose from this year, I found it a challenge to reduce my favorites to just one playlist/profile. As a result, I’ve created two additional playlists that you may use to exchange songs if your personal music tastes differ from mine. First is the ICA Bucket Playlist, which has 275 songs from this year’s Grammy-nominated artists. I tried to include as many genres as possible, so it includes several that would work better for pre- or post-class tracks. But I’ve also done some of the work for you to select some alternative tracks that work well for this profile that didn’t make the cut for my final playlist. That one has 40 songs in it—a lot easier than going through 275 songs. 🙂

Be aware that some of the songs do have explicit lyrics so ensure that the songs you choose meet the requirements of your facility. (Some artists also release a clean version.)

This is a progressive profile with three blocks of work that increase in intensity, separated by a recovery. It’s another well-balanced profile with efforts in Zone 3, Zone 4, and Zone 5. The first block will assist with building aerobic endurance, block two will work on threshold improvement, and block three contains higher-intensity efforts to build a tolerance for greater workloads.

Let us know in the comments if your riders enjoyed this profile and if you switched out any of the tracks. You might inspire an instructor reading this to swap out the same song!
