This post is from our Halloween vault, but the songs can also be used to celebrate all things sweet, including International Chocolate Day, which is on September 13 and Sweetest Day held mid to late October.
As a kid growing up in the ’80s, I distinctly remember watching Garfield’s Halloween Adventure, where he tricks Odie into trick-or-treating with him and promises him just one piece of candy for his help. During our ICA planning meetings for Halloween Theme Rides, every time we mentioned this post I kept thinking of Garfield chanting, “Candy, candy, candy, candy.”
With Halloween coming up later this month, we thought it would be fun to create some sugar-inspired playlists, specifically focused on sweets and candy. We’ve had the “Candy, Candy, Candy” playlist for a while, but Jennifer has created a new playlist called “Sweet / Sweetness” that she compiled specifically for a sweet-spot profile. While there is a little overlap between the two, there are plenty of different songs in each one. If you are doing a candy-related theme ride for Halloween, you can mix and match between the two.
Keep in mind that while these songs are great for Halloween, you can do a sweet-spot workout with a sweets theme at any time of the year.
Channel your inner candy-loving Garfield with these songs!
